Learning Difficulties and Disabilities Support

Schools, colleges, training providers and all other learning providers are keen to support young people with learning difficulties or disabilities. They should have a member of staff who is able to tell you what help they can give.

For each learning provider on this website we hope that there is a contact point for help with learning difficulties and disabilities- either how to contact a person or a website link.

Connexions  can offer extra help for young people under 25 with learning difficulties or disabilities. Connexions Personal Advisers offer impartial information, advice and guidance to help you make the best choices for your future. Connexions Personal Advisers work in Connexions centres and in every school and college in the Black Country, including special schools and pupil referral units. Click below for details of how to contact Connexions.

Connexions Direct also gives information to help young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.

Dudley Connexions produce a booklet for parents and carers of teenagers with learning difficulties and/or disabilities called Forward. A verion of this booklet is available for adults working with young people at Forward for Practitioners.

Information designed for parents of young people with learning difficulties and disabilities can be seen on
